When nothing seems to work. My trategies

Apparently taking care of the planet is a serious issue.
I've been trying for a while to make this beautiful Mother Earth smile so I decided to accept her as she came out.

Does it happen to you that there are paintings that you find it hard to make friends with?…it happens to me more often than you think.

I tell you my strategies for those occasions

I focus on what is working

I try not to obsess over what I don't like. Usually we tend to focus our attention on what we don't like, suddenly all our painting seems to be reduced to that little piece that doesn't turn out as we expected.

When I detect that mechanism of my mind, I take a deep breath and look at the parts that are working.

I put it aside for a few hours, usually when I go back to it I realize what is not working.

I accept the process, not every day I can paint master pieces, the creative process is about trial and error, what didn't work today will probably come out tomorrow, or next week.

I understand that we are complex and complete beings, beyond painting techniques we have emotions that run through us and we express in our art.
It is important to put the focus on being loving with ourselves and with what happens to us.

You are perfect just the way you are right here and now

The good thing about art is that there is always a new opportunity, a new sheet of paper and ideas to improve!

So let me focus on what I love about this piece.

I am in love with how watercolors and embroidery are integrated, they create a magical atmosphere.
